Poppy has (mostly) mastered sitting on command. We have tried to teach her other things, but mainly she just sits to most commands and then looks at you puzzled why she isn't getting a treat.
We haven't managed to teach her not to pull on the lead yet or to heel
which can make walks slightly trying sometimes. It is embarrassing to be
being dragged along by a tiny dog plus it is dangerous as you
can't quite tell what she is going to do next and she throws herself forward at high speed to be stopped suddenly by the lead, sometimes so hard she flips herself on her back. It makes us look like puppy tortures which makes her a bit difficult to go in to town with.
People round here already think we have cat fights in the attic - when the electrician was here we had just got the cats and they were in one room out of the way of where the electrical work was being done. The two of them kept fighting (they still do but a bit less). I was in there feeding them and talking to them about how they needed to get their acts together and work as a team otherwise the snake was going to get them when the electricians assistant busted through the door (it is stiff) which set the cats off at each other, I was crouching between them looking like I was encouraging them at each others throats. The guy took one look and backed out quickly apologising.
Sometimes she gets it and is dream dog, but mostly not yet.
