This is the biggest one who may start some time in August but more likely September. She looks like a 'proper chicken', the others don't all have a crest and are not so chicken shaped yet.
One of them still takes itself off somewhere unknown quite often during the day so chicken count varies between 4 and 5. They all seem to be managing to put themselves to bed unaided now and the amount they eat has been increasing as they relax. They still aren't exactly friendly but they are much more tolerant of people being close to them now and spend less time saying 'puk puk puk PUKKAAAAAK' loudly.
