Teaching Poppy to swim

Poppy has webbed feet and is meant to be very at home in the water, but until recently has been wuite suspicious of it. She lost a lot of her fear in the waves in San Sebastian.

We took her to Payolle where there is a lake. We have tried to get her swimming before by throwing sticks for her, but she abandons them if they are out of her depth. This time we took a retrieving dummy and some string (so we wouldn't lose it if she wouldn't get it). 

She got really in to it and was properly swimming, which is just as well the time I didn't hold on the the string properly.

Her style is quite funny as she swims with her head really high and flails her legs right out of the water.
