Myrtle

We have called Bluebell's calf (a girl) Myrtle.
Bluebell started off a bit annoying - as she was with Lismore and not wanting to let us near the calf which makes it very hard to catch her for milking - which is critical for her health for the next month. But she seems to be calming down and letting us play with Myrtle now.
Myrtle also managed to plunge out of the field in a similar place where Lismore fell down at birth and then was too stupid to get back to mum. So Doug had to carry 30 odd kg of struggling calf back to it's mum in the field.

Slightly less cute photo. Calf poo is really yellow and gross while they are drinking colostrum. It is good to see though as it shows she is drinking fine.
