Pig on the loose!!

We were sitting having a cup of tea contemplating what tasks we had to complete this afternoon when with a questioning groink!!?? A pig appeared in front of the door asking if this was where the food comes from. Recognising us with great delight she rushed in to the house. We were momentarly stunned and then rushed the other way to grab food to lure her back to her home before she started rotivating the floor or something.
In the house admiring the view

It seemed that after the move of the pig area this morning we had a bit of the fence slightly too high off the ground and she had taken the opportunity to go exploring. Before getting down to us she had rampaged around the veg patch crushing the rhubarb a bit, but luckly mainly missing the onions, lettuce and seeds.

She followed the food back up
Following the food
and I think was quite relieved to be home after the excitement, wanting extra affection from us and standing still to be stroked for once and snuggling up with other pigglie for a rest.

Taking a rest - glad to be home

  1. 101 posts you thought you would never make #32 "..with a questioning groink!!?? A pig appeared in front of the door..."! Maybe the farm implement you posted previously could be used as a pig shackle ?!?!

    1. They have stayed in since we adjusted the fence. Hopefully one off experience :)
