Aidan heroically helped dig the asparagus bed. It seems it will be 3 years that we have to wait until we get a crop. Patience or what! He was a bit traumatised when we decided it needed to be dug 25cm not 15cm deep but he didn't give up.
We planted peanuts beside them. It is a bit late for them to have gone in but hopefully the super warmth and damp round here will help them grow faster... or the season will be long enough for them to finish anyway.

I like the way Aidan is slaving in the ground and Rhoda is leaning on something - maybe the slave-driving tool. I hope she feedss him.
