Valentines Day

We went to a funeral today which of course wasn't much fun. The service was very moving and nice... as these things go. Is it embarassing to cry more than the family? Perhaps two funerals in such quick succession was too much. Afterwards we had lunch with some friends in a nice little restaurant which was a bit more fun.

We also finally got round to planting out our bulbs that we bought several months ago. Some had just started to grow, so hopefully we have done it just in time (the 'last responsible moment' perhaps for you agile buffs). There are daffodils, crocus and snowdrops (the bulbs for these didn't look very lively, but we shall see). We put some in pots and some in the ground. The plank is to try to stop the cats using the nice clear pot as a toilet.
