So lots of the books say. However I think a tired puppy is a crazy puppy. The cow farmer came round the other night to move his cows from one field to another (the fence is still broken in part of one field and he still needs to fix it). His wife and daughter came with him. Poppy went MAD running around at super high speed and jumping all over them. We finally managed to catch her and she was asleep even before Doug finished carrying her in to her crate. Then last night she had a little mad spell as well.
Maybe there is a perfect moment between energetic and too tired when she is a good calm puppy but I have failed to spot it yet.
Lucky she is so cute that people forgive her and say aaaaahhhh mignon (cute in French) even when she has just bounced all over them and nearly slobbered them to death. Personally I thought mignon was a cut of steak and therefore not a good description for a puppy but there we go.
