Hooves hooves hooves

I tried the dremel and it was good. Less effort than the file. But as neither horse twitched a hair at having their hooves attacked with a very small power tool I decided to get bigger with the power tools and tried a drill with a sander disk on it. There was a minor incident when Daisy's tail slightly got twisted up in it, but the drill stops the second you take your finger off the trigger so it was ok.

Daisy's back hoof after sanding with the drill. Looks lovely and neat. You can still see the flare that we are working on getting rid of. Hopefully starts lower down than it did.
