Some of the Ouessant flock have a strange rash or scab on their faces. It looks a bit like lichen as it is orange on top and a bit flaky. Not bloody or weepy.
The sheep are behaving and eating as normal and don't seem bothered by it at all - even though there are a few dots round some of their eyes too.
I have posted and asked for help on some smallholding sites - we are not rushing any of them to the vet as they seem happy and healthy still. Reading the internet about what it could be is a scary business, there are so many nasty parasites and diseases out there!
