650g bread flour
400ml milk
1.5 tsp yeast
2 tsp sugar (or honey)
50g softened butter
1tsp salt
1 large egg
Put the flour and other dry ingredients in a bowl and stir together
Stir together the wet ingredients (it’s fine if a few lumps of butter as long as they are soft) and add them to the dry.
Knead for 10 mins
Rise for 30 mins or until doubled in size
Shape the rolls (makes 10 or more or less depending on size) and leave to double in size again.
Bake at 180°C for 30 mins
Really yummy with kofka, sausage and many other things…
