More chicks!

We are hoping to sell a few as well as eat some. There were 16 in the first batch and 16 again this time.
The older ones are 5 weeks old. Much less cute now! They are a little cramped in their cage, but worried to let them out quite yet as the kites are always circling looking for little snacks...

They look like they are under water! But this is the incubator, some are still hatching and it is good to leave it closed to keep the humidity up.

Hello!

Noisy little beggers!

Not all eggs get to become chicks!

Their older brothers and sisters. The new batch has some of the ginger rescue chickens in, the first batch didn’t as their eggs were not very sturdy at that point so wouldn’t develop well.
