Bastard flies

It is only June and there are a lot of flies (and have been since March!), even the biting ones have made an appearance, and they don’t normally plague us until July. Dreading what they will be like in the heat of the summer. Warm winter bad!

The ticks are terrible this year too. We put spot-on on all the animals so they are protected, but we have still had to take several off the dog - and off me.

I need to get new face masks for the horses (or Owen at least), these ones with two holes for the ears make it hard to know what to do with their fringes. It can’t be comfortable poking out the holes like this and sometimes it slips back inside and tickles their eyes.

Daisy isn’t so bothered by the flies, but I didn’t want her to feel left out!
