Nice huh? It is pretty much the same as the one the real chickens live in, although there have been a few modifications to the design since we bought the original one (lid on the nest box is stronger and they have fixed an issue with the auto opener which on the old one means the chickens keep knocking the string off a pully and the door gets stuck shut). It comes from Green Frog Designs, made from recycled plastic. Not cheap, but we have found it to last much much longer than wooden ones in this damp climate.
Here it is in the chicken enclosure. We have put mesh round the hurdles to try to keep them in. When they are small they just bust through the electric fence without noticing and we don't want them attracting the fox. For a day or two they are trapped in the house to convince them that is home.
