Toilet just hanging in there
The toilet keeps trying to give up the ghost and Doug has been glueing it baxk together. We are hoping it can hang in there until the new one is ready. This one is old and ugly, but we need it for now!
Ow - slightly sore thumb
About two months ago I scraped some dough of the hook of the KitchenAid with my finger. Some paint of the hook got stabbed in to my finger. It has been in there EVER SINCE - I didn't realise it although I have had a go with tweezers a few times as I felt it wasn't quite right. Finally I have got it out and my finger feels better.
More working
My contract has just been renewed for another year. Which is a GOOD thing as we could do with more money to pay for the never ending renovation!! Plus I enjoy this job. So all good!

Photo of Bif
It is a while since I have put up a picture of him I think.
He is looking nice and juicy don't you think? He is a bit over a year old now. We were thinking of slaughter at 18 months as that is reommended, but will probably go for it at the end of the grass growing season. It is a shame he was a boy as he is very good looking, but c'est la vie!
Chickens
In this cute picture (not very clear because taken at night with light from a torch) there are three smallish chicks. We went over there to take some chickens out the hen house and put them in a cage so we could catch them the next day as we wanted to eat them.
Soon after this picture was taken, there were only two little cute little chickens and Poppy CRUNCHED the other one. Grrr - but hard to blame her as it fluttered off v excitingly and she is a hunting dog after all. We fed it to the pigs as it was too small to bother plucking and eating, so not all wasted.
The chicks older brothers were very tasty bbq-ed the next day :)
