First day of skiing

The ski resort opened yesterday. It was snowing and snowing. We only did two runs because it was a bit exhausting with the low vis and lots of snow. Perhaps also related to going out for dinner with friends the night before and not getting home until 1.30am. We had some very yummy lasagna after our extensive skiing exercise.
Teeny weeny skid on the way up before we turned the 4WD on, but other than that nice driving conditions!

Today it was lovely sunshine and fresh powder. Beautiful. Forgot the camera though.

We took Poppy for a walk in the snow on the way home - the poor thing has to wait patiently in the car while we ski. She had a super exciting time because she flushed a hare out of a snow hole and had fun trying  to catch it, but it could run much faster in the snow than she can as it was lighter and stayed on the surface more. She made a good effort though. Now she is very tired.
